Teaching teens the art of mindfulness
This program is offered the second Monday of each month, October – March. Alex Peavey, our Mindfulness coach, provides strategies and techniques for managing stress and being more mindful no matter your surroundings: the classroom, social situations, or the athletic field.
Mindfulness is achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. The practice of mindfulness has proven to be helpful in handling stress.
