What is Mindfulness?
It is the practice of focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. The practice of mindfulness has proven to be helpful in handling stress and anxiety. Mindfulness will be offered in the CKG office on Monday evenings starting in October. Minding Your Mind coming to five metro Richmond schools.
We are excited to be welcoming Minding Your Mind speakers to the following schools in September: Deep Run High, Trinity Episcopal, Midlothian High, Monacan High, and Maggie Walker. We will also be facilitating MYM Peer Support Curriculum in these schools.
