Race News
The 2nd Annual SpeakUp5k Tampa, presented by Staywell / WellCare, was a huge success.  We had nearly 600 participants and over 200 volunteers on Saturday, October 7th. The Tampa community rallied together to show a ton of support for Cameron’s vision.  Eighteen high school students, representing 12 different schools, served on our teen ambassador program and carried the SpeakUp message into their schools and neighborhoods for several months leading up to the race.  Many local businesses supported the event, and although race morning was hot and humid, the high energy from volunteers helped each participant cross the finish line. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Healthy Transitions program of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay (please click here to visit the Crisis Center webpage).  From the enthusiasm felt by the Tampa community, we know that Cameron’s message will continue to spread throughout the upcoming year. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, participants, and supporters. Please click here to view photos from the race!
