I'm Grace, for the last 21 years, I've been raising 5 children. Some have accomplished significant academic milestones, others have focused their life on the improvement of humanity. Some of my kids wake up and hug me every day, others just need a cup of coffee to begin their walk. I'm married to a man that I love with all of my heart, and we've been together since we were 18 years old.
I don't have many fancy professional credentials to write in my bio, but what can not be written on LinkedIn, can be felt by my passion to change teenage mental health. My daughter is Cameron Gallagher, the founder of the SpeakUp5k and now national spokesmodel for teenage mental health awareness. My lack of accounting knowledge is immaterial compared to my daily commitment to raise awareness and have an impact on the world. Just like Cameron, I didn't spend my life getting letters behind my name, but if you want to know how much I care about this foundation, just visit one of our races or events. All the education and awards can't make a light shine like the love of a child and the commitment to life with purpose and mission.
The City of Richmond nominated me for "Person of the Year" in 2015. But, I'm just a mother of 5 and a wife to 1.
That's what I'd do...
