SPEAKUP NATIONALLY. RUN LOCALLY.

SEPTEMBER 12

2020

The CKG Foundation is thrilled to announce the

inaugural National SpeakUp5k Day.

This day will involve people from all over the country (and world!) who seek to join us in our mission to raise awareness

of teen mental health.

National SpeakUp5k Day coincides with our flagship event, SpeakUp5k Richmond,

and is the result of previous successes and the

Foundation’s strategic plan for reaching people

across the country in this critical mission.

Although this is a virtual run, people can take part individually

or choose to run/walk with others in their area by joining a hub meetup on race day.

WHAT MAKES THE SPEAKUP5K UNIQUE?

funzone.png

Cameron planned fun zones throughout the race to keep participants motivated and smiling. Don’t be surprised if you run through a “Rave” fun zone or get squirted with a water gun. A signature part of the race is “Quote Alley,” where Cameron’s own sketches and quotes are sure to inspire participants.

post-party.png

Each SpeakUp5k ends with a festive party at the finish line. It is a celebration of each person’s individual achievement that day, as well as a celebration that together we are impacting the community by increasing understanding of mental illness.

The SpeakUp5k is a great opportunity for teams of all kinds. Whether you involve your school, family, office, or neighborhood, create a group and run/walk together!
