On March 16, 2014, Cameron Gallagher crossed the finish line of her first half-marathon, a goal she had been working toward for months. Just moments later, she collapsed into the arms of her parents and passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition. She was 16.

Reading about Cameron Gallagher’s story is truly moving. As someone who struggled with depression in my teens, I learned how important it is to find healthy outlets and support. Initiatives like Speak Up 5K can make a huge difference in raising awareness and fostering community. When I’m feeling stressed, sometimes I play a quick game, like Slope Game, to clear my mind. Finding small coping mechanisms really matters.
